Tasting note
Grand-Puy-Lacoste 2013 is composed of a majority of cabernet sauvignon (80%) which gives it a fine, smooth framework, again showing the expression and potential of the terroir.
This wine has a lovely deep garnet colour. A fine bouquet reveals aromas of black fruit complemented by a touch of cassis, all subtly lifted by a hint of vanilla spice.
On the palate, the initial impression is precise and linear; the palate shows ripe, well balanced and well integrated tannins. Overall a wine with charm, elegance and freshness and a very nice clean finish.
